Met Eireann has issued a weather advisory, warning that a spell of wet and windy weather, with thundery downpours, will sweep eastwards over the country this evening and tonight. Gusts between 90 and 110km/h will occur in Atlantic coastal fringes for a time.
Some accumulations of snow are possible also.
The warning is in place from 6pm this evening until 6am tomorrow morning.
