98 thousand euro in funding has been announced for The Galway Hospice Foundation, under the Department of Social Affairs and Social Protection’s Dormant Accounts Funding.
The Galway Hospice Foundation has been allocated the funding to provide a training programme to support carers in post care transition.
The target group are those who are termed “end of life carers”.
Dormant Accounts Funding is generated through unclaimed accounts in credit institutions – such as banks – and unclaimed life assurance policies.
