
A Mass was held this morning at St Nathy’s College in Ballaghadereen for a past pupil who died in a collision in Lanzarote over the weekend, while on a family holiday.
19-year old Stephen O’Gara from Augherine, Moyne, Ballaghadereen died when the moped he hired collided with a car in the early hours of Saturday morning last on the holiday island.
He had been on a family holiday with his mother and other family members.
Stephen, an apprentice carpenter, was a former student of St Nathy’s College, and Principal Declan Dunne told Midwest News there’s a deep sadness among the school community, following news of the tragedy….
