The Minister for Agriculture Michael Creed has indicated that he will announce a transport subsidy for transporting fodder to farmers in need.
The issue was raised at yesterday’s AGM of the Irish Farmers Association in Dublin, when the Connacht regional chairman Padraig Joyce pressed the Minister on the matter.
In response to a direct question, Minister Creed said he will introduce a transport subsidy, while Mr Joyce said farmers need to see progress immediately on this matter.
