
More than 3,000 household, businesses and farms are without power this morning in the Kiltimagh/ Swinford area.
Power went down at 8am this morning and is due to be restored at 11.45am.
85 customers are without a supply in Achill since just after midnight- its due to be restored at 12 noon.
A spokesperson for the ESB told Midwest News that a huge amount of damage was done to the network in storm Eleanor and a lot of repairs are still necessary- including the replacement of poles and fixing lines.
He said the power outages will be intermittent today while the network is being brought back up to full capacity.
He has apologised to customers – but says crews that came from across the country to Mayo earlier this week are still working on repairing the damage
