A Sligo man who died tragically in Switzerland last week will be laid to rest today.

26 year old Bunninadden native,  Justin Flannery, is believed to have fallen into a river in Lauterbrunnen, a village in the Swiss Alps, and was swept away.

An extensive search operation was conducted by Swiss search and rescue teams last week and members of his family flew to Switzerland in the hope of locating Justin.

His body was recovered from the Lutschine river last week.

Justin will be laid to rest in Cloonameehan cemetery today after requiem mass in the Church of the Sacred Heart Bunninadden at 12 noon.
