A teenager, who escaped from a garda van in Galway city last week was arrested again yesterday

His escape from a Garda van at Galway Shopping Centre in Terryland  was  captured on video and circulated online over the weekend.

The male youth was arrested yesterday afternoon and taken to Galway Garda Station, where he was detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

He has since been charged and appeared before Galway District Court today.
