Castlebar local election candidate, Eugene McCormack has called on Inland Fisheries Ireland to support small angling clubs such as Bilberry –Lannagh club,  who today spend 4,000 euro of their own money releasing 1000 brown trout into the lake.

The Fine Gael candidate says its unfair that Inland Fisheries Ireland, who had in the past supported such clubs financially, now appears to be concentrating on the larger more famous lakes and rivers.
