Two Men arrested in Connection with an assault on a man in Sligo Town yesterday have been released without charge and files are to be sent to the DPP

At around 3.30am yesterday morning gardaí were called to the scene of a disturbance at a house in Avondale.

A man in 20s injured during the incident was taken by ambulance to Sligo General Hospital with what were described as “serious facial injuries”. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Two men aged in their early 20s were arrested in connection with the incident and brought to Sligo Garda station.

They have now been released without charge, pending files to be sent to the DPP.
