With special emphasis on the musicals, one-hit wonders and featured artists that we thought we’d forgotten about its just one gem of a song after another.
Listeners play their part too as Michael tries to unearth the most unusual song request from listeners across the region. With the odd jazz classic, TV theme tune and obscure Eurovision entry this programme is engaging!
Michael Goulding is 31, born in Manchester and moved to Mayo in 2000.
He has been involved in numerous musical productions over the years with Claremorris Musical Society, Ballyhaunis Musical Society, Dunmore Musical Society and Castlebar Musical and Dramatic Society.
Since Easter Michael has had a programme on Midwest Radio playing music from the Movies and Musicals on the first Sunday of the month and is delighted to be presenting Song Book on Monday Evenings.
His radio career began in the form of work experience in hospital radio in Manchester and has since volunteered with Claremorris Community Radio for over 4 years.
After working 14 year in Eddie Murphy Menswear in Ballyhaunis he decided for a change, and is currently working with Western Care and also seeking work as an extra, voice over artist and a play write in the world of stage and screen.
