Corofin are out of the Connacht Senior Football Championship.

Kevin Johnson’s side fell to a six point defeat to Frank Canning’s Padraig Pearses today.

Pearses hit the net in the first half through Paul Carey, and went in 1-8 0-3 up at half time.

Corofin brought it back to three points but a breakaway goal for Pearses in the dying seconds put victory beyond the Galway champions.
