The success for Mayo continued at the World 40 x 20 Handball Championships in Croke Park yesterday evening.

Ballaghaderreen native Joe McCann, representing Mayo, partnered Robbie McCarthy of Westmeath to win the World Men’s Open Doubles 4 Wall Championship.

The victory follows on from success for Mayo duo Lorcan Conlon (Bofield) and Shane Heraty (Aughagower) in the Mens B Doubles World  Championship final.
