Castlerea's Lisa O'Rourke guaranteed at least a silver medal at the European U22 Championships yesterday evening.

Boxing in the 70kg division O'Rourke had a 5-0 win over Poland's Barbara Marcinkowska.

She will now box for gold on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Galway boxer Martin McDonagh comes home with a bronze medal after a gallant semi-final battle with Stylianos Roulias of Greece.

The decision went 4-1 to the Greek Boxer.
