European Boxing Champion Shannon Sweeney’s homecoming will take place this evening in Westport.

The event starts at 7:30pm at the town hall in Westport.

Members of the public are being encouraged to gather from 7:00pm.

Shannon won gold in the Light Flyweight 50kg division after a 4-1 final win over Bulgaria’s Zlatislava Gena Chukanova in Belgrade.

All at St Anne’s Boxing Club and those from across the region of Westport are encouraged to be in attendance tonight.
