Swinford's Eoghan Lavin got his professional career off to winning ways at the weekend.

He defetaed Vasif Mamedov in York Hall on Saturday night in a unanimous points decision.

The 21 year old boxed with Ballyhaunis Boxing Club as an amateur before switching to the professional ranks this year.
