Ballina RFC have announced the appointment of Brian ‘Beano’ McClearn as their new Head Coach for the 2023-24 season.

McClearn has previously held Head Coach roles at NUIG, Galwegians, Connacht Women and has also worked at International level with the Ireland U18 squad.

He was a long standing member of the Galwegians squad, who he joined from the Nenagh Ormond RFC in 1999.

The Abbey-Duniry native (Galway East) captained the Galwegians senior side to promotion from All Ireland League Division 2A to Division 1A in two consecutive seasons.
