Mayo captured the Connacht Minor football title this evening following a 2-13 to 1-10 win over Galway in Tuam.

Galway went in leading by a point at the break but second half goals from Thomas Tuffy and Tom Lydon put Mayo in the ascendency.

The visitors finished strong to run out six point victors.
