Leitrim footballer Emlyn Mulligan has announced his retirement from inter-county football.

The 35-year old says past injuries have caught up with him, and he can no longer deal with the rigours of the inter-county game.

Mulligan made his Leitrim debut in 2006, and helped them win back-to-back FBD Insurance Leagues.
