Sligo's Mona McSharry has won Silver at the NCAA Division 1 Championships in Knoxville.

McSharry, who is studying at the University of Tennessee swam to a podium finish at the Championship meet.

She qualified for the finals in two individual events and one relay.

McSharry’s best showing came in the 100-yard breaststroke.

 After finishing third in the preliminary stage, she got second place in the finals with a 57.16 clocking.
