Peter Cooke's first half red card left Galway with a mountain to climb as they went into half time behind.

Johnny Heaney's second half goal helped to put them ahead, with Matthew Tierney and Paul Conroy contributing 0-3 each.

Shane Walsh also returned, coming off the bench to score his first point of the season.
