Westport's Laura Moran was victorious today in her quarter final bout at the World Youth Boxing Championships in Spain.

She defeated Spaniard Daniela Irina Llorente Golai following a first round stoppage by the referee.

Moran has now qualified for the semi finals and is guaranteed a bronze medal.
