It’s been an incredible night for the League of Ireland in Europe.

Sligo Rovers and St. Patrick’s Athletic have both advanced to the third qualifying round of the Conference League.

A superb Shane Blaney free kick gave Sligo the lead at home to Motherwell tonight, Max Mata made it 2-nil in injury time, and Sligo go through 3-nil on aggregate.

They’ll play Norwegian side Viking in the next round.

While St. Pat’s beat Mura 6-5 on penalties in Slovenia, after a scoreless 120-minutes.

The Saints’ reward is a tie with C-S-K-A Sofia, with the first leg in Bulgaria next week.
