Mayo’s Allianz National Football League game opener with Donegal on Sunday is an all ticket affair and no tickets will be available to purchase at Markievicz Park on the day.

Mayo GAA confirmed the news to Midwest Sport to advise supporters travelling to the game that all tickets must be purchased in advance.

Tickets went on sale this morning at 10am and can be purchased via GAA.ie/tickets and in select Super Valu and Centra Stores.

The GAA Season Ticket will also be allocated today and all members are asked to download their tickets well in advance of the game and have them ready at the turnstiles.

As parking around Markievicz Park is limited, patrons are advised to arrive early and obey all the stewards and Gardaí on duty inside and outside the ground.

The gates at Markievicz Park will open at 12 noon on Sunday with the game set to start at 1:45pm.

Supporters are asked to have their digital tickets ready for scanning on arrival at the turnstiles.

Admission cost is €15 for adults and there is no charge for Juveniles (U16).

Match programmes will be available to purchase inside the ground.

Mayo GAA have thanked all supporters for their patience, understanding and unbelievable commitment over the past two years.

Mayo GAA Chairperson Seamus Touhy said he was excited and delighted to be welcoming supporters back to games again.

“It has been a tough two years for everyone and I just want to wish the team and supporters all the best.  We are thrilled to be welcoming back our supporters this coming weekend and I hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable trip to Sligo,” he commented.
