Galway United defeated Cobh Ramblers 1-0 in the LOI First Division at St Colman’s Park last night.

A 27th minute goal from Westport’s Ruairi Keating was the difference between the two sides.

The Mayo man pounced on a parry from Corey Chambers to put United a goal to the good midway through the first period and went close once again before the break.

The Tribesmen held out for a valuable three points which puts them further clear in second place on the First Division table.
