Mayo's Lee Keegan has been named the GAA Player of the Week.

Following his performance in the All-Ireland final, the Westport footballer received 8,826 votes on the GAA's official Instagram page - ahead of Tyrone duo Niall Morgan and Darren McCurry.

Meanwhile, Saturday's All-Ireland football final between Mayo and Tyrone was the most watched programme on RTE this year so far.

A peak of 1,064,800 million viewers watched the Croke Park showdown on RTÉ Two.
