Castlerea boxer Aoife O’Rourke has this evening secured her place in the semi-finals of the Strandja multi nations in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Aoife overcame Turkish boxer Sennur Demir leaving nothing in the ring winning on a split decision 4-1.

Aoife will return to the ring tomorrow in the semi-finals where she is now guaranteed at least a bronze medal.
