Roscommon captured the Connacht Minor Football title this evening in atrocious weather conditions with a three-point win over Sligo.

The Rossies led 0-04 to 0-00 at half time playing with the elements.

Sligo failed to score for over 55 minutes of play and scored their entire tally of 1-02 in the closing stages.

Roscommon were victorious on a final scoreline of 1-05 to 1-02.
