Sligo's footballers say they wanted this weekend's Connacht Senior Football Championship semi-final against Galway to go ahead.

The Yeats County conceded the game earlier this week after seven players and a member of their management team tested positive for COVID-19.

In a statement, the players say they're "disappointed" the match couldn't proceed for "reasons outside their control".
