Galway suffered a disappointing defeat to Dublin in Division One of the NFL this afternoon.

Padraig Joyce's men would have been looking to get back to winning ways after defeat to Mayo last weekend.

They got off to a good start and lead the five-in-a-row All-Ireland champions at halftime by 0-9 to 0-7.

However, Dublin struck them for two goals in the second half to put this somewhat meaningless contest (considering Kerry were crowned champions) beyond doubt.

It finished in Salthill, Galway 0-15 2-15 Dublin.
