Galway forward Sean Armstrong has retired from inter-county Gaelic football.

The 32-year-old had stepped away in 2014 before returning to the panel in 2017, his last appearance was in the Tribesmen's All-Ireland semi-final defeat to Dublin this summer.

He says it was 'an honour' to wear the maroon and white.
