Offaly look set to appoint John Maughan as their new senior football manager.

He led his native Mayo to three All-Ireland Finals and has also previously been in charge of Clare, Roscommon and Fermanagh.

He'll succeed Paul Rouse, who opted not to stay on after a spell as interim boss this summer.

John Maughan will be put forward for ratification after securing the nomination from a selection committee.
