At the English Athletics Championships held  in Bedford today Michaela Walsh has just smashed the Irish U23 women's hammer record with a massive personal best throw of 64.22m breaking the record set by Olympian Eileen O'Keefe back in 2003. At the age of 19 Michaela took gold in the under 23 women's hammer.
