Phyllis (Phil) Despard, née Fergus
Tarmon Manor, Castlerea, Co. Roscommon and formerly of Templeogue, Dublin and Kiltullagh, Co. Galway - 10th February 2025 - peacefully at Galway University Hospital.
She is predeceased by her husband Richard, son Richie, granddaughter Megan, brothers Billy, John and Paddy Joe and sister Ann.
Phil will be sadly missed by her daughters Mary Teresa, Susan and Mary, son Will, brothers Tim, Gerard, and Martin, sisters Carmel, Bernie, Marie and Chrissie, grandchildren, son-in-law Fergus, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Phil will repose at Gaynor’s Funeral Home, Castlerea (F45 HH24) on Thursday evening from 5 o’clock until 7 o’clock.
The funeral will arrive at St. Patrick’s Church, Castlerea for Mass of the Resurrection at 11 o’clock on Friday morning.
A private family cremation will take place on Saturday in Shannon Crematorium.
Phil’s Funeral Mass will be live-streamed on St. Patrick’s Church webcam.

She was a lovely lady and will be greatly missed.
