Unions say they'll look to build on recent wage increases for security industry workers.

SIPTU has welcomed the announced hourly rate increase from €12.90, to €14.50 per hour.

It will come into effect from July 1, followed by a jump in the premium rate working unsocial hours in January 2025.

SIPTU's Ed Kenny says more work needs to be done to ensure parity of pay for workers.
