Motorists can expect delays en route to Sligo this morning following an accident.

An Garda Síochána are reporting a collision on the N17 road to Sligo, just at the turn off for Ballymote.

It is understood that there is a lot of debris on the road that will cause delays for motorists.

Investigations are ongoing.
