Galway woman Teresa Roche has been elected chair of the IFA Farm Family & Social Affairs Committee.
Teresa succeeds Alice Doyle who was recently elected IFA Deputy President.
She will take up office next Tuesday at the 69th AGM of the Association.
Teresa is a fourth generation dairy farmer, and her family farm their land in the Slieve Aughty Mountains.
They are the proud makers of Kylemore Farmhouse Cheeses.
