Status yellow wind warning remains in place across the region this morning.

The warning remains in place until midnight tonight nationwide.

Meanwhile a status orange wind warning is to come into effect this evening for County Galway at 6 o'clock and remain in place until 6am tomorrow.

Met Eireann say the possibility of coastal flooding is likely.
