Gardaí have completed their technical examination of a former hotel in Galway, targeted in a suspected arson attack last week.

They're now appealing for witnesses to the fire at the Ross Lake House hotel in Rosscahill last Saturday night to come forward.

Asylum seekers were due to be moved into the building - plans that had faced some local opposition.

Gardaí are particularly interested in speaking to any locals who may have information that could assist with their enquiries.
