The trial of former solicitor Michael Lynn, who is accused of stealing millions of euro from a number of financial institutions, is due to start tomorrow.

55-year-old Mr. Lynn who is a native of Crossmolina in County Mayo and now with an address at Millbrook Court, Redcross, Co. Wicklow, has pleaded not guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to 21 counts of stealing property from various financial institutions between 2006 and 2007.

An extended panel of 15 jurors was selected yesterday consisting of seven men and eight women.

The trial is expected to begin tomorrow before Judge Martin Nolan and is due to last eight weeks.
