A man who killed two men he met on a dating app has been jailed for life.

At the Central Criminal Court this afternoon, Ms Justice Mary Ellen Ring sentenced Yousef Palani of Markievicz Heights in Sligo to the mandatory term for the murders of Aidan Moffitt and Michael Snee.

She also sentenced the 23-year-old to a concurrent sentence of 20 years for causing serious harm to a third man, Anthony Burke.

Speaking outside court, the solicitor for the Moffit family, Willian Henry, said they wanted him to be remembered for the great man he was.
