RTE's Chief Financial Officer Richard Collins is to resign.

The move was revealed at a 'town hall' meeting being held by the Director General Kevin Bakhurst.

That meeting is designed to allow staff ask about developments at the broadcaster.

There's been a sharp decline in TV licence revenue since the emergence of the payments scandal at the station earlier this year.
