Retained firefighters are continuing their industrial action this week in a dispute over pay.

In looking at proposals that have been presented to the fire service, there is an increase in the payment but it’s been deemed as not enough.

According to Tom Kitterick of the Mayo Fire Service, while the percentages look good, a high percentage upgrade of very little is still very little.
