379 people are waiting for a bed in hospitals across the country today.

INMO figures show 262 are in emergency departments, while 117 are in wards.

University Hospital Limerick is the worst affected by overcrowding, with 78 patients on trolleys.

That's followed by 40 at University Hospital Galway, and 30 at Sligo University Hospital.

There are 27 patients on trolleys today at Mayo University Hospital and 15 at Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe.
