412 people are waiting for beds in hospitals across the country this morning.

INMO figures show 298 are in emergency departments, while 114 are in wards.

University Hospital Limerick is the worst affected by overcrowding, with 87 patients on trolleys.

That's followed by 50 at University Hospital Galway, and 31 at Cork University Hospital.

Elsewhere, in this region there are 30 patients on trolleys at Sligo University Hospital, 27 at Mayo University Hospital and there are 13 patients on trolleys today at Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe.
