
The man who died tragically following an accident, and whose body was recovered from the Castlebar river on Tuesday, has been named as Tony Fallon, of 21 Fr. Meehan Place, Castlebar.
Tony started his working career at the age of 16 years with “Larry’s Barbers” and for the past 20 years, worked in Ger Staunton’s Barber Shop in Castlebar.
He was gifted mechanically, and could fix anything from watches to motor bikes.
He is survived by his son Conor, mother Anne, and sisters.
His remains will repose at Kilcoyne’s Funeral Home, Thomas Street, Castlebar tomorrow (Fri) from 6.30pm until 8pm.
The funeral will arrive at the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar on Saturday for Funeral Mass at 11.00am, followed by cremation service in Shannon Crematorium at 3pm.
