A local councillor has raised his concerns with Minister Eamon Ryan about the debacle with Inland Fisheries Ireland.

The Minister was in Mayo last week for a number of engagements.

Councillor Michael Burke says since the formation of the organisation, many lakes, including the three in South Mayo have not seen funding in recent years.

He says that the accounts at the organisation need to be looked at, to see where in fact the money is being spent.
