The most vulnerable children and families need to given a decent standard of living in the next budget.

Children's charity Barnardos is outlining its pre-budget submission today, and says targeted measures are needed to stop more children being pulled into deprivation.

Barnardos National Policy Manager Stephen Moffat says support in the form of a once off payment should also be introduced this winter.
