Searches will continue today for a missing teenager on  Achill Island.

The search for 18 years old Sebastian Palma Sigmond,  who is on holidays with family on the island, began after the alarm was raised on Friday night last.

He was last seen leaving a house in Dooagh to go out for a walk at 5.30pm on Friday evening wearing jeans, a black jacket and a black hat.

He is described as 5 foot 5 inches in height with brown hair and brown eyes.

A number of agencies have been involved in the search since Friday night including Coast Guard units from Achill and Malin Head, the Sligo-based Rescue118 helicopter, Achill RNLI and Gardaí, together with many local volunteers.
