
Mayo County Council has launched a Climate Action Survey for the county at the Mary Robinson Climate Conference underway in Ballina.
The Mary Robinson Climate Conference is a forum for bringing together voices from all sectors of academia and society to share climate experiences and discuss pathways for a sustainable future.
The conference theme is “Communities Creating Change”.
Mayo County Council, like local authorities nationally must submit a Climate action Plan to government next year. In an attempt to ensure community involvement in the Mayo plan, Laura Dixon Climate Action Co-ordinator with Mayo County Council and the county Cathaoirleach Michael Loftus launched the Mayo Climate Action Survey at the conference in the Ballina Arts Centre yesterday.
