
Ministers will reveal how much money they expect to have to spend in this year's budget later today.
The Summer Economic Statement is one of the last major staging posts before the budget and is expected to show a surplus in the region of ten billion euro this year.
Much of that is fueled by bumper corporation tax receipts which Ministers warn can't be relied on indefinitely.
While negotiations on the budget will get underway in the coming weeks it's expected there will be more demands than ever, with every Department staking a claim to come of the rising revenues.
